Hey, sorry I haven't written anything in a while, but my teachers were giving me all of my finals at the same time. I had four fucking finals on my last real day of school! Well, it's official: I am no longer a high school student. So, last night after graduation, we had Grad Nite at Disneyland. Yay for fuckin' Disneyland. High school students, listen to me now: NEVER GO TO GRAD NITE IF IT'S AT DISNEYLAND!!!!! There were like 15 schools there, so it was just like a regular day at Disneyland. They had dancing, but they only had 3 types of music: rap, more rap, and Mexican/Salsa/trance shit. THEY LOOPED THE SAME 10 SONGS FOR 7 HOURS STRAIGHT!! DISNEYLAND KILLED MY INNER CHILD LAST NIGHT. Well, I haven't slept in a day, so I'll see ya later.

Hey, for those of you wondering, we won the battle of the bands (or so we were told). So, we get to play at lunch someday next week. Yes! There was also a Bass Off between Aaron from my band, the guy from Gluttons of Funk, and Steven from The Ibis. Aaron totally pwn'd them. On Saturday, we went to talk to Greg and Nola, the owners of Cucamonga Coffee Co., and we got our first public show booked! JUNE 26TH FROM 2:30 to 6:00. Cucamonga Coffee Co. is located on Archibald just above Baseline in the IHOP center. It's gonna be awesome! TELL YOUR FRIENDS!! NOWWWWWW!!!!! See ya!

Setlist For Friday's BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Hey people. Wayne, Aaron, and I have decided on our setlist for Friday's BOTB. We will be playing the following songs:
1. 'As I Am' -- Dream Theater
2. 'Funked Up' -- Original Song
3. 'YYZ' -- Rush
4. 'Welcome To Buckethead Land' - Buckethead
5. 'Boston Cream Dream In Cadmium Red Part 2' -- Original Song
This will be awesome. BTW, we have no singer yet, so all of these songs will be played instrumental. The only one that actually has lyrics is 'As I Am'. For those of you used to only hearing 2 notes or chords in a song, you will be in for a shock.

You've been Dean Quilt top 6 string EMG bass'd!
AARON GOT A NEW BASS!!!!!! It's a Dean 6 string quilt top with built in EMG pickups. It is literally among the nicest basses I have ever heard. He was already playing the solos to YYZ (by Rush for those of you that don't know) within an hour of playing on it. Well, That's all I have to say for now. See ya!

Hey to all the people out in online land! Today was interesting...I saw my first ever high school fight. Two black guys were goin' at it like two monkeys fightin' over a banana (haha pun intended). I'm not a racist person, really, I'm not, but sometimes, people act just plain out ignorant. You know what gets me? Why is it that everytime I talk to people about music, they always tell me to be more open-minded? Seriously, I'll be talking to someone, and I'll be like "Oh, yeah, I listen to progressive metal, progressive rock, classic rock, jazz, fusion, swing, big band, and classical." Then they'll reply "You mean you don't listen to (insert rap, pop, pop punk, emo, hardcore, ore nu-metal here)? Dude, you need to be more open-minded!" How do I need to be more open-minded?! Well, I'm gonna take off. See ya!

Boston Cream Dream In Cadmium Red Pt. 2
Hey people! This is my first post on my blog. Just a little about myself: I'm a senior at Etiwanda High School. I just keep telling myself "14 more days, and I won't have to put up with this shitty school anymore." Well, music is my life. I play drums in my band called Abstract Theory. We are hmmm.... how do I say this.... DIFFERENT. Not this stupid whiny emo/pop punk/hardcore/nu-metal bullshit. Seriously, I could pull better songs out of my ass, come on now! I would classify my bands' music as progressive metal/progressive rock. Wayne, Aaron and I are most likely the most creative band at our school. I mean, it actually takes talent to play what we play. Some of my favorite bands are Dream Theater, Rush, Spock's Beard, Yes, The Police, and Pink Floyd. There's a lot more, I'm just lazy to type them right now. By the way, we are playing our first gig in front of our fellow students next Friday, May 28th. Well, I'm gonna go to bed. See ya!
